A woman arrested in connection with shooting at bar on Starr Ave
A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting early Saturday morning at a bar on Starr Avenue in Toledo that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Investigators with the Toledo Police Department say 32-year-old Andreania Pruitt allegedly opened fire at the venue around 2:40 a.m., striking two men.

One of the victims, 35-year-old Devonta Miller, died shortly after being transported to a hospital; the county coroner ruled his death a homicide.
The other victim, identified only as an adult male, is expected to survive following his injuries. Police say he and Miller were involved in a physical altercation before the gunfire broke out.

Documents reviewed by investigators indicate that Pruitt and Miller were in a personal relationship. Officials say she “did fire a gun, multiple times, into a crowd of people,” though her motive has not been publicly disclosed.

Pruitt was booked into the Lucas County Jail Saturday morning and is slated to be arraigned on a murder charge and two counts of felonious assault this coming Monday.
11/03/25 UPDATE: At her appearance in court Monday morning on the murder charge and two charges of felonious assault, Pruitt’s bail was set at $1,150,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2025.
